So i found this Defense 500 at a local gun shop and treated myself for my birthday a few weeks back. Plus I've always wanted an 870 for an extra bird hunting piece.
I came across a Rem870 for $100 but after factoring the cost of new barrel, grips, heat shield and tube I'd be looking at nearly the same cost if not more as the Defense 500 i ended up buying. I've scoured the local gun shops but they all claim they are uncommon in terms of coming across their counter. Ideally, to match what is in the game, it needs to be a Winchester 1300. Well, now that I'm older with my own disposable income, and a rekindling of my favorite old game, I decided to make it happen.
I always wanted to build a shotgun to resemble it but growing up in a hunting household, spending money on parts that might detract from hunting wasn't favored.
